NOTE: cohorts are limited to 6 students to ensure an immersive training experience.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO...
THE 5-DAY IMMERSIVE TRAINING EXPERIENCE
- Day 1 (travel day): Arrival to Webster, SD by 6pm CST. Welcome & Opening. Staff & Cohort Introductions. Program & Safety Overview.
- Day 2: Physical Training. Introduction to Casting Process. Immersive Casting Lesson & Activity. Warrior Skills. Welding Deep Dive. Team BBQ. Medic Training.
- Day 3: Physical Training. Casting Lesson & Activity. Land Navigation. Warrior Training. Machining Demonstration. Small Caliber Shooting Training.
- Day 4: Physical Training. Final Casting Lesson*. Character & Integrity Exercise. Large Caliber Shooting Training. Iron Warrior Academy Closing Ceremony & Awards.
- Day 5 (travel day): Physical Training. Optional steam engine operation day at the James Valley Threshing Show (home of the 150HP Case Steam Engine built entirely at Dakota Foundry in Webster, SD). Depart to airport in afternoon.
*NOTE: Each casting lesson will focus on a specific phase of the casting process. Participants will BUILD THEIR OWN UNIQUE IRON WARRIOR PRODUCT and be able to take home the finished piece upon completion.
THE "NITTY-GRITTY" DETAILS
Location: Webster, SD
The Iron Warrior Academy is based in Webster, South Dakota, home of Anderson Industries and Dakota Foundry. Most lessons and activities take place in those two locations, though micro-lessons are facilitated in near-by learning complexes throughout northeastern South Dakota.
Cost: $2,500 USD (scholarships available by request) - includes lodging, food, program fees, safety & personal protective equipment, reading materials, Iron Warrior academy Swag, and more! ***Upgrade to the premiere package for $150.00 and get a free Iron Warrior 44 LB kettlebell plus 21-week Iron Warrior Workout Program.
NOT ALL WHO ENROLL IN THIS PROGRAM WILL COMPLETE IT.
Each program cohort will begin with 6 individuals who showcase leadership potential, mental toughness, desire to learn, and a team-first mentality. Those who graduate from the Iron Warrior Academy will have opportunities for full-time employment (including leadership positions) at Dakota Foundry in Webster, SD.
